  2. Acknowledge the strength of your opposition. (V. 1)

    1. The opposition seems overwhelming.

      “At Ephesus”

    2. The opposition can be overcome. 

      “Saints”

    3. The opposition can be overcome. 

  3. Understand your identity and position.

    1. Saints = “Holy Ones”.

    2. Faithful = Believing and trusting. 

      (Acts 19:1–15; John 20:27; 2 Tim. 1:12)

    3. “In Christ” = Connected to Jesus.

      (Rom. 6:1–11; Eph. 4:15–16; Eph. 2:6; John 15:5)

  4. Recognize the strength of your message. (V. 2)

    1. The power of grace.

    2. The power of peace.
