We will stand firm on Christ the Rock

When shadows fall for light is blocked

With us always: Christ the Rock

When the World sends waves that shock

Our saving shelter: Christ the Rock

When every door is shut and locked

Provision comes from Christ the Rock

When Sin and Death like lions stalk

Our source of life is Christ the Rock

When we’re a weak and aimless flock

We’ve wandered far from Christ the Rock

When at every flashy fad we gawk

We have scoffed at Christ the Rock

When truthful counsel makes us balk

We’ve cast ourselves from Christ the Rock

When doubt grows as we watch the clock

We have forgotten Christ the Rock

When sin strips thanks from all our talk

We will provoke our Christ the Rock
