  1. Understand you are in a serious battle. (V. 4)

  2. Remember who you are – a child of God! (Vv. 5–6)

  3. Believe that God is at work in you and for you. (Vv. 7–10)

    (1 Pet. 4:12–14; Rom. 8:28)

  4. Look beyond present pain to future fruitfulness. (Vv. 10–11)

Take Away Truths:

  1. We are in spiritual warfare against sin and spiritual forces of evil and darkness. We must discipline ourselves for godliness!

    (1 Tim. 4:7–8)

  2. God uses the struggles and hardships in this life for your good and His good purposes.

  3. Never forget that God loves you!

  4. The Lord’s discipline of you proves you are His child! You belong to Him!

  5. The Lord’s discipline of us is to train us and change us.

  6. The Lord is working in us so that we might live holy lives and produce spiritual fruit.

  7. We must trust Him and yield to Him.

  8. The Lord is working in your life today.

  3. Are you submitting your life to Him? Will you trust Him?
