  2. What do I pray? (Vv. 2–4) 

    1. May the Lord’s name be honored as Holy. 

    2. May the Lord’s kingdom come. 

    3. May the Lord’s will be done. 

    4. Provide our daily needs. 

    5. Forgive us our sins. 

    6. Help us to forgive others. 

      (Matt. 6:14–15) 

    7. Protect us from the temptation. 

      (James 1:13; 1 Pet. 5:6–9; James 4:7–8, 10; Eph. 6:10–13) 

  3. How do I pray? 

    1. Pray boldly. (Vv. 5–8) 

      (James 1:5–8) 

    2. Pray persistently (shamelessly). (Vv. 9–10) 

      (Luke 18:4–7) 

    3. Pray humbly and honestly. 

      (James 4:3–6; 1 John 3:21–22) 

    4. Pray confidently. 

      1. Believing/trusting.

      2. Abiding.

      3. According to His will.
